Gold- Silver Plated Items have an industry standard of .15 to .25 mils thickness of gold or silver, which is plated to the surface of the base metal.
Karat- kt It is the measure of fineness of gold. 24kt is pure gold, 14kt is 14 parts of pure gold and 10 parts of alloy. 18kt is 18 parts of pure gold and 6 parts of alloy.
